economically and efficiently; and
- Supply responsive
and value-added service to our clients.
Stellar Environmental Solutions
personnel possess the superior technical and project management credentials
to support municipal and industrial clients in addressing their environmental
and hazardous waste management challenges. Our environmental professionals
are experienced in interacting with federal, state, and local regulators,
and are trained in health and safety protocols for work at hazardous
waste sites. All work is conducted in compliance with environmental
regulations and guidance.
Company
Philosophy. Stellar Environmental Solutions' mission
is to reduce our clients' environmental liabilities at the lowest cost,
while maintaining integrity and quality standards. We are committed
to remaining small and focused on providing services to Bay Area public
and private sector clients. In short, our philosophy is a commitment
to quality and professionalism, and to providing our clients with practical,
timely, cost-effective solutions to their environmental problems.
Our
Approach. Our approach is twofold: (1) expertise
with environmental regulations and a positive relationship with the
regulators; and (2) knowledge of innovative technology applications.
Our investigations are designed to meet multiple functions with site
resolution objectives in mind. We are familiar with the newest
and most effective in-situ technologies for soil and groundwater cleanup.
To maximize site investigation effectiveness, we utilize the most cost-
and time-effective subcontractors to conduct field and laboratory work.
We have worked hard
to gain trust and achieve recognition by our clients and the regulatory
community with which we often interact on behalf of our clients.
Our positive relationships with the regulators translates into quicker
reviews, and frequent agreements with our recommendations. Our
clients have been favorably impressedin fact, over 80 percent
of our clients have retained us to do follow-on work.
Costs
and Accounting. Our contracting and management sytems
can be tailored to meet our clients' specific needs. We can perform
our work using a variety of contractual relationships including time
and expenses, not-to-exceed cost limit, unit price contract, or fixed
fee. Our extensive field experience allows us to accurately forecast
field costs and offer competitive fixed fee bids on projects.
Computing
Resources. Our computer systems and graphical output
are state-of-the-art with powerful, linked pentium microchip-based PCs
that allow for the integration of text, relational database and graphical
output critical to clear communication. Because our software is
linkable, we can process and analyze large data sets and view our projects
from many geologic, engineering design and statistical perspectives.
Training.
All personnel working on Stellar Environmental Solutions contracts have
the appropriate and required training per OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.120
(minimum 40 hours of health and safety instruction). Managers
and supervisors are further required to receive at least 8 additional
hours of specialized training in managing hazardous waste operations.
In addition, personnel involved in hazardous waste site investigations
receive 8 hours of refresher training each year. All subcontractors
and technical support are also checked to insure their compliance with
training requirements.
Our health and safety
staff can assist existing programs or create and manage new programs
designed to comply with all site-specific health and safety plan regulatory
requirements. We will work with other project personnel to recognize
work place hazards, evaluate the degree of risk presented by each hazard,
and develop plans to control these risks. Our internal health
and safety standards are set by standard operational procedures which
meet or exceed the standards of OSHA, SARA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, DOD, and
state regulatory agencies.
